Description

Imaged Jupiter on the night of November 19, 2023 (November 20th in UTC) under above average seeing and transparency.  This was my first use of my ZWO ASI533MC Pro for planetary imaging.  I was able to achieve a nice frame rate of near 140 FPS with the imaging region cropped and the resolution is the same as my trusty 224MC since they have the same pixel size.  I plan to eventually use this to capture configuration to capture a wider field of view at the same resolution I am used to.  Both the GRS and the moon Io were visible in the frame during this imaging session.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR Cut filter, and ZWO ASI533MC Pro. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/20. Image capture using Firecapture with gain set at 450 and an exposure of 3.5 ms. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 10% of ~25000 frames captured over 180 seconds). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6.  De-rotated images using WinJupos.

Original version:  Jupiter and Io at 02:43 UTC on 2023/11/20

Rev B: Jupiter at 02:43 UTC on 2023/11/20 (3 subs de-rotated and combined in WinJupos)
